Overview:
The Director, Enterprise Architecture, AI Architect will lead the design, security, governance, and continuous evolution of enterprise AI solutions across all IT solutions and business domains, including manufacturing and supply chain. Additionally establishes and operates the AI Center of Excellence (CoE) to drive standardization, governance, and innovation across all AI initiatives. The position will be located at our Irving, Texas office.
Responsibilities:
- Define enterprise AI architecture and reference models across all applications, platforms, and data domains
- Design secure AI, Agentic AI and GenAI systems for enterprise use cases including manufacturing, supply chain, and business functions
- Lead AI security architecture including data protection, IAM, and secure integrations across IT environments
- Establish governance frameworks, lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance
- Ensure AI governance aligns with EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and ISO/IEC 42001 standards
- Implement cost control strategies and FinOps practices
- Define AI engineering standards (RAG, prompt engineering, LLMOps)
- Provide executive advisory on AI strategy, risks, and investments
- Closely collaborate with delivery and security teams and enforce architecture quality standards
- Establish and lead the AI Center of Excellence (CoE)
- Govern adherence to defined AI architecture standards, processes, and procedures via the CoE
- Define, evolve, and publish new AI architecture standards and best practices
- Drive reuse of patterns, components, and platforms across AI initiatives
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration through the CoE to scale AI capabilities
Key Performance Indicators
- Adoption of standardized AI architecture across the enterprise
- Zero or minimal critical security incidents
- Compliance with governance and regulatory standards (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001)
- AI cost efficiency and optimization
- Business impact across functions (operations, supply chain, finance, customer solutions)
- Adoption and effectiveness of AI CoE standards and operating model

- Enterprise-wide scope across all IT solutions and business domains
- Covers cloud, data platforms, enterprise applications, and integration layers

- Ownership of enterprise AI standards, governance, and CoE operating model
Qualifications:
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a technology related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, AI architecture, data management, or broader IT functions
- Extensive experience in enterprise AI architecture
- Experience with IoT
- Hands-on experience with production Agentic and GenAI systems
- Hands-on experience with AI cost control
- Strong cybersecurity and risk management mindset
- Experience across multiple enterprise platforms and domains
- Experience establishing or leading Centers of Excellence or governance bodies
- Familiarity with leading AI governance frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001)
