Celanese is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst to join our Capital Markets team. This role supports the company’s funding, liquidity, and balance sheet strategy through foreign exchange risk management, financial modeling, long-range cash flow analysis, and month-end reporting. The successful candidate will partner across Treasury, FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Legal, and external banking partners to deliver high-quality analysis and execution support for debt and capital markets activities.

Responsibilities:


Foreign Exchange Risk Management

  • Execute FX risk management strategy across transactional, balance sheet, and forecasted cash flow exposures. Analyze hedge performance and P&L impact.
  • Support implementation of hedging tools and ad-hoc optimization projects.

Financial Modeling & Long‑Term Cash Flow Analysis

  • Maintain and enhance treasury models used for long‑term cash flow projections, interest expense forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Partner with FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Legal, and business teams to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and improve forecast accuracy and reporting quality.

Reporting & Month‑End Close

  • Support month‑end and quarter‑end close processes for treasury, including journal entry preparation/backup and account reconciliations in collaboration with Accounting.
  • Assist in developing presentation materials, including board-level slides, rating agency decks, market updates, and other treasury-related reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 2–3 years of experience in corporate treasury, capital markets, corporate finance, banking, or FP&A, with direct exposure to financial modeling and reporting.
  • Strong financial modeling capabilities: advanced Excel skills required. Experience with SAP is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of debt instruments, interest calculations, and basic covenant structures.
  • Attention to detail with strong risk awareness
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
