Production Operator
Production Operator (Process Expert) – Night Shift
The Production Operator produces high‑quality thermoplastic material by setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting extrusion equipment and packaging finished product. This is a 12‑hour night‑shift role (3–4 shifts/week, including holidays and alternating weekends).
This Minnesota position pays $25.23/hour, plus a night‑shift differential and annual bonus eligibility. Actual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and market factors.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate extrusion equipment within standard operating conditions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot equipment throughout the run.
• Collect product samples and address safety or quality issues by stopping the process and assisting in problem‑solving.
• Operate a forklift safely.
• Perform cleaning and product changeovers, including full equipment and system cleanouts.
• Maintain accurate production records, logs, blends, and packaging documentation.
• Support smooth shift hand‑offs with clear communication.
• Follow all SOPs, safety policies, and waste‑handling procedures; actively participate in safety programs.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• No experience required; manufacturing and forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to work 12‑hour night shifts.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
• Basic math skills (percentages, ratios, unit conversions, averages).
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to work independently or in small teams.
