Responsibilities

Celanese Engineered Materials is seeking a Business Development Manager in Dallas-Fort Worth to join the Global OEM Team for our Electrical and Electronics (E&E) business unit.

The Business Development Manager is a customer facing role responsible for driving new business growth with an emphasis on Global Consumer Electronics customers. This role will have a focus on growing global relationships, creating account strategies, and driving specifications of engineering resins. This individual will report to the E&E Global OEM Director.

A Business Development Manager is responsible to:

  • Develop, drive and deliver customer specifications with Global Consumer Electronics customers across their value chain.
  • Develop and deliver strategic customer growth plans with an emphasis on global specification, project pipeline build, and project pipeline closure.
  • Manage and grow customer relationships by identifying key sponsors, stakeholders and decision makers along the entire value chain.
  • Collaborate with global commercial team members, such as Application Development Engineers, Regional Account Managers, and Marketing, to ensure realization of sales and knowledge sharing.
  • Articulate account strategy and actively work with key internal functional groups in research and development, manufacturing, and business lines to ensure success and commercialization of products.
  • Possess industry knowledge on Consumer Electronics and engineering resins and anticipate new development trends through collecting Voice of Customer (VOC).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, or Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Plastics or Equivalent).
  • 10+ years of commercial experience in account management and/or technical sales at a chemical, polymer, or consumer electronics company.
  • Strong understanding of the material specification process in Consumer Electronics customers and the value chain.
  • Self-starter, global team player, entrepreneurial mindset, strong personal presence, and interpersonal savvy.
  • Strong leadership skills with global account teamwork and results driven mindset.
