The Engineered Materials Business is seeking a dynamic global supply planning manager that can design and execute a balanced global supply plan to support and meet the company strategy, performance objectives, and customer expectations, in addition to adherence to global processes and business rules.  This position will be responsible for directing, consolidating, and balancing regional plans and ensuring we meet working capital targets and business strategy while working within various constraints and limitations.  It will work with and lead through influence a variety of roles including global business leadership, finance, manufacturing, and commercial, as well as roles internal to S&OP.  This role will help set business strategy by providing scenario analysis and proposals.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction to regional supply planners in the creation of monthly supply balances and ensure the global view meets the business strategy
  • Manage inter-regional flows, imbalances, and discrepancies
  • Work with the Global Business Director to guide business strategy based on supply capabilities and provide scenario analysis
  • Lead regional planners in doing regular refreshes of stocking strategies, lead times, safety stocks, segmentations, etc
  • Monitor working capital DIO/DOH and present projected plans, explain misses, and define actions to be executed to meet targets
  • Develop an annual 5yr supply strategy plan to meet business growth projections and provide proposals for how to fill any supply gaps.
  • Monitor KPIs and drive actions to meet targets, including OTD, DIO/DOH, inventory health (aging/blocked/etc), and production and warehouse capacity
  • Support all strategic projects, initiatives, tools, process changes, cost optimizations, etc

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Supply Chain Mgmt., Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5-10 Year of related experience
  • Experience w/ SAP preferred
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Experience w/ advanced planning / scheduling solutions preferred (e.g., JDA/Blue Yonder)
  • Experience in a chemical/plastic compounding environment preferred
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills required
