Reporting to the Manager, External Reporting, this individual will be responsible for the day-to-day operations related to the External Reporting department. The successful candidate will leverage their technical knowledge to assist with the preparation of the company’s filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, regulatory reporting and certain monthly corporate accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparation of external reports using collaborative software (Workiva) and tie-out, including the accumulation of supporting documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Review presentations and materials prepared by Investor Relations for completeness and accuracy
  • Perform XBRL tagging of required disclosures within Forms 10-Q and 10-K
  • Prepare monthly accounting and recording of journal entries for corporate level areas (such as remediation, stock compensation, severance, pensions)
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting documentation for employee benefit plans and other statutory reporting, including providing assistance to external auditors as necessary
  • Prepare annual and quarterly disclosure checklists
  • Research and draft accounting memos
  • Tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:           

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years’ experience at a large international public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred)
  • CPA or CPA candidate, CPA preferred
  • Clear and demonstrated understanding of US-GAAP and SEC reporting with ability to apply knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Highly motivated, reliable, accurate and able to work independently
  • Experience using Workiva preferred
