Join the Data Quality team at Celanese.  In this role you will have an opportunity to define, orchestrate, and ensure compliance of the Material SAP processes and Certificates of Analysis (COA) for Celanese. You will deliver value through management and configuration of SAP controls for the global production of commercial materials for the Engineered Materials Division. As a Global Quality Specialist, you will have an opportunity to participate in the design and maintenance of our SAP material governance program.   Given the criticality of data quality, this role is essential to our enterprise-wide data quality program and requires a significant amount of collaboration across all business areas.   This role will have regular interaction with the corporate IT group as well as daily interaction with our global production, regulatory, and technology teams.  Additionally, this role will have the opportunity to support the regional internal audit program.

  • COA Resolution: Pull data, evaluate error types, determine root cause, and process Certificate of Analysis (COA).  Manage COA outputs and COA profiles in SAP.
  • BOM and Inspection Plan maintenance: Manage and troubleshoot SAP data for Material Bill of Materials (BOMs) and Inspection Plans. Timely closure of all assigned tasks from the EVOLVE portal.  Utilize tools for mass updates and excel macros.
  • Assist Business Process Analysis (BPAs) in understanding the error and steps required to make the corrections. 25% transactional
  • Log into SAP and pull data, run custom reports. Create ADHOC reports.
  • Draft tickets and track for systematic issues, Test IT solutions, permanently resolve the errors.
  • Standard reporting using SAP, SM (Sample Manager), Winshuttle/Evolve and BI; QM10, MB51 and QA33, data upload into system and departmental reports.
  • Ability to work in the CG02, Product Stewardship, module of SAP for linkages to base SAP and reporting.
  • Plan and execute all required process steps as defined in our methodologies.
  • Anticipate, identify, track, and resolve issues and risks affecting the SAP applications.
  • Meet service commitments for assigned deliverables and proactively provide work status.
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner with internal and external global customers.
  • Interface with 3rd Parties and Vendors to develop process improvements
  • Support IT with Process expertise for major projects and integrations.
  • Serve as Process Expert for Quality Master data (COA, Inspection Plan, COA Profiles)

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to translate business processes or concepts into technical requirements are essential.
  • Broad functional and process knowledge of the core business functions: order processing, delivery processing, scheduling, billing, pricing agreements and rebates.
  • The ability to identify the impact of process or data across more than one functional area or SAP module is necessary.
  • Excellent data analysis and analytical skills along with the ability to debug and trouble-shoot issues.
  • Must be highly motivated and dependable with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to multitask and prioritize as needed.
  • Knowledge of internal processes is a plus: Request for Specification Change (RSC), New Product Entry Form (NPEF), Sample Manager (SM), and Quality Notification (QN).
  • Experience with Data/reporting Software packages such a Tableau, Alteryx, BI, and PowerBI or the ability to learn.
